DIY: Velvet hands- Take care of cuticles

So all of us ladies like to take care of our hands and nails so we often get manicures. Even on your own, you can take care of your nails, get a coloured or a french manicure. But you also need to tend your cuticles as well, in order for your hand to look perfect and for your manicure to pop up!
Here is the best way to tend your cuticles, all you will need is some petroleum jelly and a pair of disposable gloves. Below you see a picture of my hand and cuticles before the treatment..

Apply vaseline all over your cuticles and nails...

..and put on your gloves

The more you stay like this the better. For instance i do this before i go to bed and let it work all night.
After you take the gloves off your cuticles will be smooth aand easier for you , if you want, to push back and remove.

Good luck and Thank you! :*

DIY: Lighten your Hair NATURALLY with Chamomile and Lemon

So, summer is here! Sea, sun, drinks and friends!
Many of us (girls) feel like changing something in their appearence for the season ( i know i do) and most of the times this is our hair. We usually want to lighten it but we don't want to dye them because this would damage it even more along with the sun and the salt.
So here is something you could do to get natural highlights.
NOTICE: This will work best for natural blondes who want to get even lighter highlights.

All you will need is chamomile, a lemon and a spray bottle.

First, you boil the chamomile until it gets this golden hue. Then you put it aside to cool off.

You cut a lemon in half, you squeez and strain so as to keep only the juice, without the pieces because they will jam in the bottle's tube.

Then you pour the lemon juice in the spray bottle.

 Finally, you pour the chamomile.

And there you have it!!
HOW TO USE: This won't work on its own. It needs the sun. So there are 2 options.
Option No1: You spray your hair and you stay under the sun for 30 minutes. Then you come inside, wash your hair very well and don't forget to use your conditioner because lemon will damage your hair if you don't by making them fierce and dry.
Option No2: This is the one i use. I don't wanna waste my time by staying on the porch for half an hour under the boiling sun without doing anything else. So here's what i do; when i go to the beach i take the bottle with me and i spray my hair and let it work while i'm sunbathing. So i get a tan and some highlights! Plus that you can stay more than 30 minutes without even noticing!

Have a great summer people!!

DIY: Green Clay and Lemon Juice Beauty Mask for Oily Skin Types (With Video)

The easiest DIY face mask to help you control the oilness and the shine of your face!
You will just need 2 ingredients

Green Clay ( I bought mine from Ebay)                        Lemon Juice

Green Clay masks are quite powerful in their ability to refresh skin, make skin tone look healthier, make skin appear younger and get rid of oily luster. Green Clay masks are known to reduce visibility of pores, reduce skin inflammation and are used effectively for light skin-lifting (put Green Clay mixture in the fridge for a little while before use).
Due to its porous structure, Green Clay is a natural adsorbent, which literally removes all kinds of by-products our skin leaves behind or builds up inside of its layers, like oils, dirt and toxins.

Lemon Juice is great for skin as it diminishes scars and age spots, heals acne with its natural antibacterial properties, exfoliates, brightens the skin and tones oily skin.

So here is a video of what you have to do.It is very easy, you make the mixture by adding 1 tbsp of Green Clay and 5 tspn of lemon juice (you could mix it with water if you want do but lemon juice is much more helpful). Apply on your face and wait for it to dry; it usually takes 20'-30'.-If the odor annoys you, something that happens with me,add 2 drops of scented oil-You will feel it cleching when you try to speak or smile.Rinse well with your hands or a beauty sponge. DON'T FORGET TO MOISTURIZE.

If you have a pretty oily skin i suggest using the mask at least twice a week. When you notice an improvement on your face, reduce it to once a week, than once in 2 weeks.

What do you think?Have you tried it and if not will you?
Thank you for watching!

DIY: Olive Oil and Banana Moisturizing Hair Mask (With photos)

Well, I've been searching for masks and treatments for dull hair! I knew that pure olive oil is moisturizing but i was afraid to try it because my hair tend to get oily pretty fast. I also knew that this amazing fruit, banana, has moisturizing, nourishing, soothing, softening properties and it is used for all kinds of beauty masks. And so i though, why not combine both?
As you can see, my hair is pretty dull and in poor condition ( yeah i need a haircut).
So, made the hair mask as such :
  • 2/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 banana
( This dosage was just fine for my hair length)

First, you mash the banana till it's creamy. Then you add the olive oil and you blend till the mixture looks like this :
With your hands you spread the mixture on your hair starting four fingers under your roots. Make sure that your hair, especially the tips, are dampened like this :

Wrap your hair with a towel and stay for 1 to 2 hours.
Then rinse your hair very carefully to remove all the mixture and perhaps banana pieces.
I washed my hair with shampoo 2 times to be sure. For better results, you can use your conditioner ( i didn't because i had run out ).
  ( I really need a haircut  :P )

You can see the difference, shine and smooth!Αnd i haven't even straighten them. Plus they have this amazing banana-ish redolence :)
I use this mask once a week and i've seen great results. And for you who have oily hair and are afraid, DO NOT BE. It doesn't get them oily as i first believed.
I also do this, twice a week i soak my tips in olive oil and leave it for 1 hour. It really makes a difference. Your hair get stronger, shinier and harder to split ends.

So, would you try it? And if you have, what are your impressions?
Thank you for reading!
